Caleb Ariyo Speaks On Faith and Revelation
Revelation: Revealing hidden things, depth knowledge in bringing the future to present, making a word a picture and so real to you...All these definitions enhance Faith.
Faith: complete trust or confidence in something.
The revelation comes first . When you have a revelation about something then Faith is being stirred up to execute that thing
Therefore, Faith and Revelation works together (Joshua 6:1-5 , Mark 2:1-5a) Faith becomes easier when you have a revelation
The whole of the Gospel is centered on Faith...Every believer receives / has a measure of faith at the point of Salvation
Eph 2:8 Faith is the gift freely given by God to anyone who believed that Jesus died and rose again. You received this faith at the New birth. We are saved by grace through Faith... Therefore any saved soul has faith to be saved, though it is at a measure...Rom10:17 Faith can be increased by hearing of God's word
The Gospel appears as things unseen but it takes faith to bring the things unseen to reality Heb 11:3, Heb 11:7-8 , Heb 11:1...Faith gives you evidence of things unseen, Without faith, hope has no substance. Therefore, hope alone will produce no results.
Jesus said: blessed are those who believe without seeing me john 20:29...What distinguished a believer from an unbeliever is simply FAITH John 3:16 , Rom 10:8-10 Heb 11:6 , 1John 5:1.
With Faith you already know you are an overcomer 1john 5:5, then having a mindset of faith work wonders - Mark 16:17
What Revelation Does ?
1. Revelation strengthens your faith. The depth of your revelation determines your faith (Luke 8:43-48)
2. Revelation gives understanding of the word rightly (Ps 119:130) . The entrance of the word gives revelation.
3. Revelation gives precise direction
a. Direction for healing (Luke 8:43-44)
b. Direction for provision (1king 17:2-6)
4. Revelation makes you feel accomplished before execution, you feel elevated and joyful.
How to fine tune yourself to revelation
1. Be a spirit filled man ( The Spirit of truth) John 16:12-13 , The spirit of truth is the Holy spirit John 14:17. 1cor 2:9-10 (the holy spirit reveal deep secrets) Rom 8:14
2. Study the word (Rom 10:17) Faith comes from hearing the word. Therefore, the word is the revelation. 2Tim 2:15 , Act 17:11...The direction of your revelation is based on your biblical knowledge.
3. Prayer (Jer 33:3)
4. Give room for listening and thinking. From being solitude, revelations comes
Solitude helps to improve concentration and increase productivity, being by yourself with no distractions gives you the chance to clear your mind, focus and think more clearly
5. When you perceive peace in your decision making Ps 85:8 , Phil 4:7
Prayer point : Eph 1:17
