What God cannot do- Edunjobi Olatunde

“The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.” (Job 1:21)

If there was ever a scripture that has led to some screwy notions about God’s character, it’s this one. Anyone who has suffered loss has probably heard this verse. It’s often quoted at funerals. We even sing songs about it. For some strange reason people seem to find comfort in believing that God is responsible for their loss.

But what if you have suffered loss, like Job? He lost his health, his wealth, and his family. The temptation may be to blame God for your loss, as if God had a change of heart. But God is not fickle. He does not change like shifting shadows. He is an extraordinary giver who never takes back his gifts.  He said
" No, I will not break my covenant; I will not take back a single word I said" (psalm 89:34)

From these premises it is absolutely true that whatever God has declared concerning you in his word is FOREVER TRUE, He CANNOT go back on it. He CANNOT take his holy spirit from you, his blessings, eternal life you received through Christ Jesus, His gift of righteousness, and many more that is said concerning you in the scripture. This is the truth about God, let no one convince you into believing that when you sin then God will be angry with you and he will close the heavens and withdraw His holy spirit and not harken to you unless you repent. Can you imagine God doing that, Hasn't God violated his word in Heb. 13:5 "I will neither leave nor forsake you" If he does leave, Isn't that rendering you powerless and incapable to fighting the devil, and understanding the truth you need to know so that you can be set free from such sin. BUT REMEMBER GOD HAS NOT GONE SOFT ON SIN, But believing in His UNCONDITIONAL LOVE MAKES YOU KEEP HIS LAW AND COMMANDMENTS AUTOMATICALLY.

JUST REST IN HIS FINISHED WORK!!!
