     If we were holy by obeying laws then no one will be holy because we are not justified by works of the law (Gal 2:16), (Gal 3:21). As a matter of fact no one can keep the whole law, the more you obey law the more you trespass some other laws. It is biblical we follow the commandment but never think you are right with God because you obeyed law. The law was established to drive us to faith (Gal 3:23-25).      Reasons why obeying laws won't make you holy 1. The power of sin is law : Where there is law there is also sin (1cor 15:56) 2.      Many people believe that if a lady proposes marriage to a man, the man may feel she is desperate for him, and may take her for granted. But if a man struggles patiently to get a lady, he will value and respect her. So people believe that a lady who proposes to a man has belittled herself and has reduced her worth.        Some other people believe that a lady who proposes cannot be submissive, she is gonna feel like a man because she did what the man was suppose to do.          I have seen a lot of people condemn long courtship because they believe it can lead to fornication, frustration etc. In fact I almost believed that it's not possible to court for over two years without fornicating. But one day, I was sitting in a program somewhere listening to a minister, and the minister said that he courted with his wife for six years before they eventually got married. That caught my attention, he further talked of various challenges and issues he had to PATIENTLY work on and solve with his spouse before marriage. He took time to study and build his spouse to his taste before the union. Somebody said that he has grace and not everyone will have that kind of grace to court for six years without sinning.
