WHY CAN'T A LADY PROPOSE TO A MAN SHE LOVES? -Emmanuel Ariyo

     Many people believe that if a lady proposes marriage to a man, the man may feel she is desperate for him, and may take her for granted. But if a man struggles patiently to get a lady, he will value and respect her. So people believe that a lady who proposes to a man has belittled herself and has reduced her worth.
       Some other people believe that a lady who proposes cannot be submissive, she is gonna feel like a man because she did what the man was suppose to do. And many other people had different opinions and ideas about it.
        Looking at the scriptures, I found out that the Bible encourages that the man should propose. The book Genesis chapter 2 and verse 24 says that for a cause shall a MAN leave his father and mother and cleave to his WIFE... I see that it's like God also wants the man to make the necessary moves and take steps that leads to  marriage.  Also considering the book of proverbs chapter 18 verse 22 says WHOSO finds a WIFE finds a good thing and has obtained favour from the Lord. The whoso in that verse is man because only a man can find a wife. So I feel God expects the man to do the searching and finding.
          I totally agree that a man should propose to a lady, but in a case where a lady loves a man, and the man is not forth coming, should she forget the man and keep waiting or even go for someone else she doesn't love? I believe that she can do something and she might probably get what she wants.
          As a lady, I want you to understand that some guys are timid. It's possible that they love you but they lack the confidence to walk up to you and propose, probably because they are afraid of rejection which could cost them depression or they are scared of been embarrassed and loosing their friendship with you. So as a lady I expect that you should have a way of attracting a guy you love to yourself, you should have your methods of communicating or expressing love to a man you love in a non vocal way such that he can be encouraged to walk up to you and propose. Something like that happened in the Bible, the book of Ruth Chapter 3 talked about how Naomi taught Ruth how she could communicate love to Boaz, she told her to wash herself and so on, she even taught her what to say at that point. That's an example of non vocal love language, she used it and she got the attention of Boaz. In chapter 4 of Ruth, Boaz called the elders of the land as a witness that he has taken Ruth as wife. So there are love languages and signs that are applicable in catching people's attention,  I want to recommend a book " five love languages for singles" by Garry Chapman. It's very cool.
          Please understand me, I don't mean you should seduce men and make them misbehave. Be moderate, sensitive and courteous in what ever you do so as not to land in sin. I also wanna say that in the process of expressing love to someone you love, you have to be careful not to loose your value and respect. Don't over do or go overboard. Don't become a slave or so emotional that he begins to feel like you are obsessed with him. If you try to communicate love at your best but he is not responding, leave him. Probably he loves someone else and not you. Love should be mutual, as you give it, you should get response

 Obviously it's has become a norm for believers to accept death of any kind as God's will.
